New call for projects to startups

To develop innovative solutions to combat Covid-19

The Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy, in collaboration with Luxinnovation GIE, launched a call for projects named “Startups vs Covid19” on 9th of April 2020. The aim is to support the Luxembourg start-up system

Targeted are young innovative enterprises. This call for projects focuses on the development of technology-based innovative products and services. They need to limit or even overcome, the effects (economic, health, and societal) of the crisis linked to the COVID-19 pandemic.

150.000€ award per project

Up to 20 projects will be selected. Each of them will benefit from the financial support of up to €150,000. The selected projects should be developed, and put on the market within a period of 6 months.

Project proposals are to be submitted on 30 April 2020 at the latest.

Webinars

The Ministry of the Economy organize webinars as of 8 April 2020.  The Ministry collaborates with Luxinnovation GIE, in order to inform about the main support measures that start-ups can benefit from. All of this is in the context of the economic stabilization program, presented by the Luxembourg government.

The experts participating in the webinars answer questions that young innovative enterprises ask themselves in the current economic context.

The Ministry of the Economy hopes to get a strong response from the start-up community with this initiative.

Great news! Tremendous success has been achieved!
Over 300 startups responded to this call-for-projects. 15 companies have been selected. They will receive financial support of up to €150,000 granted by the Ministry of the Economy.
